Trihonida S.A. is a Local Authority Development Agency Société Anonyme based in Kainourgio of Municipality of Agrinio. Municipalities of the area of Aitoloakarnania, Evrytania & Lefkada participate in its share capital, as well as Unions of Agricultural Cooperatives (EAS), the Chamber of Aitoloakarnania and other Development Agencies.
The agency’s principal shareholder is the Municipality of Agrinio with a percentage of 57.25%, while it holds the position of Chairman in the Board of Directors and that of the Managing Director.
The agency’s manpower amounts to (8) employees and provides its services in the management of National and European Projects implementing the ISO 9001 standard.
The agency’s objectives, inter alia, include:
- The scientific and technical support of Local Authority shareholders of the Municipalities of Aitoloakarnania, Evrytania and Lefkada and their unions, as well as of the decentralised State Administration.
- The promotion of entrepreneurial, economic and in general sustainable development of Local Authority shareholders and the wider area of its intervention in the Prefectures of Aitoloakarnania, Evrytania and Lefkada.
- The development of environmental protection activities.
- Its participation in programmes or the implementation of relevant policies in its area of intervention (Municipalities of Aitoloakarnania, Evrytania and Lefkada), as well as in a wider geographic area.

INTERREG IV
TRIHONIDA Local Authority Development Agency Société Anonyme (TRIHONIDA S.A. Local Authority) participates as a partner in the partnership of the project entitled “Citizens for Improving Civil Protection Effectiveness – CI- ProEffect”, which is implemented under the Greece-Italy 2007-2013 European Territorial Cooperation Programme, led by the Regional Union of Municipalities of Western Greece (PEDDE). The project was approved after a considerable delay (5/2014). The project’s scope is the study of natural disasters in Western Greece, the factorisation of results and the creation of a natural hazards warning model (fires – floods)

Ε) AWARENESS & PROMOTION PROGRAMMES – LOCAL – DEVELOPMENTAL
Publicising and Promoting Centre of the Municipality of Agrinio
It operates since 4/2014 in the Old Vegetable Market building through a concession of the space by the Municipality of Agrinio. For the operation of the showroom, a branch of TRIHONIDA S.A. was established that operates in the same space, mainly for tax and insurance purposes.
In the showroom, where the producers of the Municipality of Agrinio will exhibit their products in order to promote them, there will be tasting events combined with seasons, local feasts, etc., meetings of producers with potential customers, small thematic meetings or exhibitions, preparation for participation in major exhibitions.
Promotion of issues such as:
- Sale of products (producers refuse to sell using invoices and there are procedures for a cash register – issuance of operating licence for the sale of products)
- The issuance of a licence requires a permanent power supply that will be completed after the installation of the PPC substation, which has already been paid by the Municipality of Agrinio.

- Member of the “Greek LEADER Network” that coordinates the Greek Leader Local Action Groups.

- Trihonida S.A. participates with the Agrinio Gymnastics Company (GEA) in a private non-profit management company (KATSAMPEIO) with a view to manage the facilities (Restaurant, Conference Centre) in Dogri that were created by the Community Initiative INTERREG II.
